*Please be aware of international scams that target the sellers of just about anything, including harps. Scammers typically offer to buy an item sight-unseen and offer to pay more than the asking price (with a fraudulent cashier check) while requesting you to send the excess on to a third party.  In recent months, there has been a scammer going by "John Watson" contacting people with this scam, so please report him if you receive an email from him.

HARPS FOR SALE:

PEDAL HARPS:
Picture
For Sale: Lyon & Healy Harp, Style 22 Gold, #2880 (Built in @1925=100 years old).  Comes with brown cloth cover. The harp is a semi-grand with 46 strings. It has the same look as a style 23 but a bit more compact and easy to move. It was purchased in @1995 from its previous owned Penny Beavers who had the harp rebuilt by Lyon & Healy Harps in Chicago in the 1980s with a new board, neck and re-rivet. The harp has just received an almost full set of new strings (all new wires, 1st & 2nd octs nylons as well as many new 3rd-5th oct gut strings), a regulation and a full inspection. The harp is in very good condition. Structurally there are no issues in the base, board and body of the harp. There is slight twist in the neck and a very slight clicking in the rivets. It has been well cared for and lightly used over the past 20 years. The harp shows beautifully, inalmost perfect condition. The gold has some wear but is in very good condition for an older instrument. There is a crack in the crown on the backside but not visible. The harp has a beautiful warm sound, esp. in the middle and lower registers. It rings out very nicely.  Asking $22,500 OBO.  Harp dolly also available for $250.  Contact Sarah Hewes at sv5hewes (at) gmail.com or 818-730-1710.

For Sale:  Lyon & Healy Harp - Style 23, Serial number #3440,  Bronze w Gold accents rings.
This harp looks gorgeous and is in very good condition.  It was originally built in 1933.  It received a new sounding board in the 1970’s by Lyon & Healy in Chicago and it was re-riveted by Mike Lewis approx. 20 years ago. In 1989 Dale Barco redid the cosmetics adding Bronze paint and highlighted gold accent rings on the column.  A new set of strings was put on last year.  The harp has just received an inspection and a regulation.   Details of the harp are in this appraisal.

For Sale: Salvi Arianna Concert Grand Pedal Harp. Serial number 15437, built in 2009. I am the original owner of this remarkable instrument, and it has been lovingly cared for its whole life. It is in near-perfect cosmetic condition and excellent structural condition. This Arianna is a bit special as it has a “transitional” soundboard design which allows for better projection and balance across the registers, and the sound is very warm and resonant while still being clear. It has been restrung and regulated within the past year.
New the Salvi Arianna sells for $55,000. I am asking $36,500. A three-piece cover set, six-wheel dolly, wooden music stand, wooden bench, and tuning key are included in the sale. The harp is located in Kern County, but I am willing to drive it up to the Bay Area. For additional information, including photos, recordings, and condition report, please contact Peter at [email protected].  **This harp is still for sale, but has been moved to the East Coast.

For Sale: Lyon & Healy Style 3 Gold Concert Grand Pedal Harp. Serial number 3551, built in 1934. This harp has been lovingly cared for throughout its life and is in very good cosmetic condition, including the gold gilding and beautiful hand-painted soundboard. It is a joy to play with a big, lush sound that feels effortless to produce. It has been restrung and regulated with the past year.
Lyon & Healy sells the Style 3 Gold for $108,000. I am asking $30,000. A dust cover, wooden bench, and tuning key are included. The harp is located in Kern County, but I am willing to drive it up to the Bay Area. For additional information, including photos, recordings, and condition report, please contact Peter at [email protected].

SOLD: Lyon & Healy Style 22 Gold Semi-Grand Pedal Harp. Serial number 946, built in 1910. This 45-string harp is a true piece of history and an excellent example of original Lyon & Healy Harps before the 1911 fire. Cosmetically it is in very good condition, though the very front of the column could use some gilding touchup from where the column was handled over the years. This harp plays like a dream thanks to a 115 year old soundboard that is in excellent condition and historically appropriate, lighter gauge strings. It has been restrung and regulated within the past year. I am asking $14,500. A three-piece transport cover set, dolly, gilded bench, and tuning key are included. The harp is located in Kern County, but I am willing to drive it up to the Bay Area. For additional information, including photos, recordings, and condition report, please contact Peter at [email protected].

Picture
SOLD: Lyon & Healy Style 22 Bronze Semi-Grand Pedal Harp. Serial number 2058, built in 1919. A slightly smaller version of the popular Style 23, this Style 22 has the same look of the Style 23 in a more compact form. It is strung in light-gauge gut which make it very responsive and easy to play, and I used it for all my Christmas gigs last season with no issues. Cosmetically it is in fair condition, but mechanically it is sound. It has been restrung and regulated within the past year.
I am asking $9,500. A dust cover and tuning key are included. The harp is located in Kern County, but I am willing to drive it up to the Bay Area. For additional information, including photos, recordings, and condition report, please contact Peter at [email protected].
